Looks pretty good as far as the weekend looks. Save for the wind forecast.
Will they be wrong again? Who knows. We’ll report to you after the fact. Predictions are for stockbrokers. Although I’m sure I will try to see into the future again soon here on this Missouri River Blog.
Through the first week in February. More and more folks from here on out. While we still have a couple more months of solace…the quiet time has passed us by again.
Sun in the forecast with air temps in the 40+ range. Water levels still up towards the 4K mark.
Fishing reports have been better this week than last. No shelf ice. A bit warmer water. Free of duck hunters. Fishing from the dam to Pelican Point. Soon you can start integrating your mayfly patterns into your winter game plan. Zebra’s are on the menu as is fire beads, sows, scuds, lightening bugs, Rainbow Warriors, Bubble Yum Nymphs, Caviars.
The streamer gang is coming into their own. The intermediate sink tip flickers are finding the fish near the bottom. The deeper sinkers are getting a few in the bottom of buckets. Slow and low is how it go. No? Looks like the streamer contingent is ready for a new slicker shooting streamer line as they have been getting spun onto reels a few times a week. Look us up for a tip or VersiLeader if that is something you may need. Bring your game ups few notches this year. 2016 is gonna be a great one!
