Sunday Fishing Report
Water temps 57F
Flows 3440cfs
Nymphing much better the past couple days. Flies include the Tailwater Sow family, Bubble Yum Scud, Silicons Scud, Rainbow Czech, Zebra, Tailwater Tiny, WD 40, Tow Bit Hooker, Little Green Machine, Little Black Mo, S & M, Purple Ju Ju Baetis and so forth.
Dry Fly? With the wind I would keep them in the film. Big Adams, little Adams, Poly Winged Cripples in 14, and CDC of course. Come by for the windless info and get some dry flies. Won’t need too many this week with the winds howling all week long as the seasons are changing! And that is the silver lining.
Streamer bite is good. White, olive, black and gold have been good. Articulated? Sometimes. Sink Tips? Yes and intermediate will do the trick. Some are casting dry lines too. Toss at hard banks. Weeds are diminishing!
Traffic? Way lighter this week. Craig Boat Ramp not full in the afternoons. And that is my historical indicator of light traffic. Not too many at the dam either. Lots at WC. Te entire river is fishing. Some to Cascade. But not in this wind.
