August is a strange month. Or can be. Hot temps generally keep the fishing confined to the morning hours. But not always. This year, sort of. The fishing is pretty good in the mornings so far this year. The cool down of weather we are experiencing will improve the length of time on the water. Maybe?
Most are on early, 6am-ish, and off early. Either napping, drinking and eating in conjunction with the obvious fellowship that fishing brings, or headed to GF of Helena for historical wanderings. Others watch minor league baseball.
