After the Boys of Summer are gone…
Slowly seeing an open and empty river.
Many reading this love this fact. The fish do too. The locals do, and we do as well.
The Quiet Season is upon us.
Swingers Unite. But, with lower flows the common, or normal, 2 handed locales have changed.
Seek, and you will find.
Lots of last days on the water for local fishing guides have already happened. Is it gonna be your last days?
I bet not.
Colder air temps as the month comes to a close. But not too cool? Yep, Highs in the lower 50’s and upper 40’s for the next two weeks. No precipitation in sight either. Dry out there, and everywhere.
So, traditional fall fishing must wait.
There are some bugs and some fish rising. Catchable for sure. Some baby BWO’s and a couple 16’s and 18’s. Not a ton. Enough in the afternoons if you know where to look. Not terribly difficult to fool, yet.
Good drag free drifts seem to be the theme, daily here on the Mo.
