Day 1 has come and is nearly beyond us here on the Mighty Missouri River near Craig Montana.
$300 Guide Trips through then end of April. Day 1 is past and Day 2 will arrive in the morning. We look forward to it.
Rental boats out today too. The Project Healing Waters Boats have been getting wet as well. Lots.
New gear in daily, tons of new patterns making their debut in our expanded fly selection, and you the Missouri River angler.
We had a great time last night at the F3T in Great Falls with lots of fun, prizes, and the 1st Annual Fastest Reel in the West contest.
Out of nowhere came Allison, a Carroll College student, who has only fished once with a 100ft reeling time of 32.3 seconds beating out 46 other entries. Awesome job Allison. You took home a SAGE 4200 Series Reel with a RIO Perception Fly Line too. Super cool job and we look forward to seeing you on the water this summer with that flame orange reel!
Headhunters represented well at the show with swag including Free Shuttle Coupons, drink tickets, hats, T’s, stickers, and some additional SIMMS swag like key chains, luggage tags, and Koozies.
If you did not make it to this recent show, we will see you in 2015 for more fly fishing film fun. If you did, thanks for coming and we will see you soon in the store or on the banks of the Missouri River.
Warmer weather tomorrow with some breezy conditions as well.
Shop open @ 8am for all things trout, shuttles, lodging, flies, information, and the always free coffee…

Please no not soil the beauty of a Labrador retriever with a light beer in the same picture. You insult the breed.
But Bill, I love Lab’s and I love the Silver Bullet. Do I have to choose between the two? What about the photographer (Mark). He loves cats. Isn’t that even worse?
I know Mark went over to the dark side a few years back with the bud light. And I know you love the queen beers also..but since you two run a great shop you get a one time pass. Cats. I have no comment. See you next month.
Thanks for the pass Bill. Did you just call me a queen?
Sorry, no. I meant to say “queen of beers”. A term I actually stole from you.
The “Queen of Beers” is Bud Light. Coors Light is the next level down… That’s where I am.
