Fly Fishing Report Tuesday April 25th

Nice day on the river Monday with air temps reasonable. Really fun time.

Flows creeping upwards @ 5790cfs. Will be higher this month and through June as we endure this higher water period.

Water temps are climbing higher currently 42F. This too will continue to rise. BWO’s soon. Did see some BWO’s floating around. More to come.

Midges in the afternoon, lots. Fish rising to the said midge in softer water. Not in the fast stuff yet. Random rising fish. Random takes as well. Midge patterns will work. Stop in and catch up with the midge patterns that can work. Midge clusters will make them look. Droppers if you wish. Many would not. Just rock the dry.

BWO’s? This week. Maybe. More in a week.

Nymphers using the net often. Nymphers deep and pink. Many with split shot. 5′-7′ with sows and pink. BWO’s subsurface?  Yep, them too.

Streamer bite is good. Some may say great. Flashy is good. Dark is good. Heavier tips? Sure.Intermediate/2/3? Oh yeah. Heavier yet? Oh yeah. Headhunters has lots and lots and lots of streamer lines. Lots. All kinds of sink rates.
