Friday Foto Rising Rainbow Trout
Hot and windy for the most part.
Dry fly fishing great, if you are into that sort of thing. Hatches have been delayed in the mooring for some reason.
A short window of rising trout some days. Others rising well in to the afternoon.
Nymphing has been difficult to say the least. Not good some would say. Trying others would say. And some just say it is shitty.
All true. Some weeds out there too.
Other that that we are rolling along through the final week of July. Last August it fished quite well. Trico’s running in the mornings and hoppers getting us through the mid morning until 1 or 2 pm. Then it shuts off. The Missouri has always been a bankers hours river. It still is.
Evening have been OK. No record setting events though.
You gotta go to know. Early mornings are the key to success. Get out there and enjoy. The weekend is upon us. Lots of splash and giggle outfits will greet you about noon on both Saturday and Sunday.
Smoke from the many Montana fires comes in and goes out. Some days worse and some days better than others.
Give us a call @ 406-235-3447 for up to the minute fishing reports. We are here every day 6am til 9pm.
Happy Friday!
