Hump Day Fishing Report 11.16.22

Hump Day Fishing Report 11.16.22

Cold. Snow. Quiet.

Not too much happening out there this past couple weeks. Looks like more silence on the horizon with snow falling today and the air temp dipping into the sub-zero region tomorrow.

We are open and booking trips for 2023. If you think you may want to come in June or July of ’23, now is the time to get those things wrapped up. By the new year, those PMD and Trico dates will have evaporated.

Currently quiet on the water as mentioned above. The weekend may bring some fishable temps for swinging and stripping. Nobody has been on the water other than the water-fowlers.

Keep Headhunters in mind as you navigate the holiday buying season. The only constantly updated information source on the river, for 15 years, and we will continue this blog as long as we can. We do not give up in the winter as many, if not nearly all fly shops and guides and outfitters do. Your entertainment and information source on the banks of the Mighty Mo. How about a little something for the effort? We will and can mail any items that you may eat or need for you, your spouse, or your fishing buddy. While we are not your everyday fly shop, we still love you! And we continue to produce this nearly daily blog, 6,100 times now. More to come!

Hump Day Fishing Report. You will have it to yourselves if you travel now! Bring your hand warmers…

Headhunters Fly Shop open daily through the winter and spring. Come by for a visit while in Craig!

  • thanks for all you do Headhunters!

  • Your near daily blog reports are a welcome diversion to my mornings even if I am not planning to be on the river. It is nice to have a consistent go-to site for up to the minute fishing conditions and the great entertainment value as a bonus. I have pretty much quit going to web sites for other fly shops since their fishing reports tend to be either 4 months old or are completely generic for “typical hatches” for each month of the year. Keep up the good work and I will continue to support your shop whole heartedly!

    • Thanks Dan! We write it for you, and your friends of course, some of which you have not even met yet! Appreciate you and look forward to your next visit! W too, love to fill the void of the Mo River information vacuum that existed before the shop opening in April 2008!
