Monday Morning Missouri River Fishing Report 5.23.22

Water Temps 51F.
Caddis showing somewhat. BWO’s still red hot. March Browns, say goodnight. Although there are some last minute micro local events.
PMD nymphs in the water column. Caddis pupa looking good too. Things about to pop.
Nymphers like 4′ to split with less sow and more mayfly. Afternoons adjust accordingly to the insect movement. Mayflies with caddis waxing along with the standard issue tailwater fare will get it done. Fishing is very good this spring and if you are not bangin’ ’em up you are not in the correct water or depth.
The Dry Fly Gang is small, but they are finding enough throughout the week to smile about.
Looking warmer this week. Wear sunscreen. Buy sun shirts at HH of Craig.
