Dehlan with this nice Rainbow from Friday afternoon.
Nymphed this one up at Cell Phone Bluff off the downside of the big rock there.
Fun because the guide said “We never get one in this great looking water. But fish it if you wish.”
This taped 21″ hen beauty fought hard bulldogging Dehlan deeply and bending the rod! Fun times.
Fishing has been inconsistent as of late. The latter part of the week spotty. The best and most consistent nymph bite in the morning is gonna be the dam reach as the water temps are at their summer peak. Cool, clean, oxygen filled waters will keep those fish happy.
Anglers in at WC too for the dry fly bite. Lower for early morning shots at big fish as the angling traffic below Craig has been light.
August the past couple years has been very good. Will it turn the corner and get a bit better? Maybe.
Hoppers are good. Pink, purple, and yellow.
