Blowing hard from the north as we write. Drifting snow around the state and the Rockies got hit pretty hard. Specifically the eastern front. Lots and lots of snow on the NE side of the Rockies.

We roll forward ask are looking forward to the coming week. Should be great fishing. A good drop in the water temps will being the bugs to the surface.

Swingers and strippers are stinging up new fly lines for the fall season. We got ’em at Headhunters. All of ’em.

Streamers and soft hackles too. Squeeky didi a shopping spree recently of some fly shops around Craig, Bozeman, Great Falls, and Helena. If you want or need flies that will couple with your Trout Spey  rod or your streamer rod, come visit the fly bins that 7wt procures. We have a ton of softies, wets, and the like.

Shop open today. Take a break from football and call us up to discuss fall and early winter fly fishing on the Mo. Ahh, our favorite time the year. The fall season rules. Bring it!

Happy Sunday. Take a nap and dream of swing takes.

  • Are we expecting a good bump in flow and gauge height into mid October as a result of this snow? Thinking about coming mid October and want to wade fish …..

    • There will be no bump in flows John. Snow does not effect current flows. 3 resorvoirs above us. Predictable flows. They will be at or near 5K until next March. It is perfect.
