Throwback Thursday Mayflies on the Water

Beyond that we are doing just fine here in Craig. Anglers out daily enjoying the fresh air and fishing opportunities here on the Mighty Mo.

Guide trips out this weekend and we expect anglers to be roaming around the river.

No mayflies yet as the image above is from a few years back of spring BWO’s gracing the waters. Midges have been seen and fished this past week and we expect it to continue through the month and beyond.

Water temps normal for this period at 4880cfs with water temps rising slightly to 37F.

Headhunters Guide Shane Wilson has been out with guests the past couple days. Tuesday nymphing was very strong said Shane. Good to great nymphing results with PINK and deep. Yesterday the Swing Bite was also strong with good hook-up rates. The weather was cool, but no wind to further cool down the air temps.
