Mid week Update

Fishing most of the week with staff, clients, and friends. The river is in pretty good shape. Flows in the higher 3K’s with water temps at 42F. Moved 2 degrees yesterday. A big move, and maybe more today as the air temps touch 70F.

More BWO’s daily. Could bump into a good batch of rising trout with the numbers yesterday above Mid Canon towards Holter Dam. The hatch developing lower river as well. Midge looking good too. Inclement weather on the hros=zon, tomorrow, with rain and snow accumulations of about an inch. Yes, total rainfall 1” with snow/sleet/GLIT mix as the day progresses. Head out for the morning sesh if you want to avoid the spring mess headed our way.

Streamer bite variable. Small and back, medium and flashy, and white. The latest sort of OK patterns.

Nymphewrs on the PINK, Sows, BWO nymphs galore, some March Brown nymphs, midge pupa’s, and worms on the top producer list.

Swingers are Skagit System with 5x5 tips, 2.5’ int x7.5’ T-8 from RIO, SA TC Textured Tips 10’ Int/Type 2 or the Type 2/Type 4. Flies? Oh shoot, one you have confidence in fishing.
