Drift Boat Rentals
We proudly rent Adipose Boatworks Flow Skiffs built locally in Helena, MT. These are the most common drift boats you’ll see on the Missouri, and many other Montana rivers. Adipose boats are incredibly stable, comfortable, row easy, anchor great, and offer a huge amount of storage and space for rods, anglers, kids, dogs, coolers and more. The standing braces are easily removable if you’re the “sit-down-and-cast” type like many of us. They are widely considered the ultimate drift boat for big water like the Missouri. All of our rental boats come high quality oars from Sawyer. We also provide an anchor and rope, net and PFD’s (you are responsible for these 3 things). $175/Day
“U-Tow-It”
We rent boats on a “U-Tow-it” system, meaning you will need pick up the boat at Headhunters and tow it yourself. This means you will need a vehicle that has a hitch, or at least a hitch receiver (we can supply a stinger and ball, or you can buy one at ACE or Home Depot). If you’re thinking,”hey I thought those guys dropped the rental boat for me"?”, you’re right, we did. During the pandemic, we quickly moved to the “U-Tow-It” system to get around contact issues, and 90% of our customers liked it much better. So we stuck with it. Advantages are that:
You don’t need to be at a takeout by a certain time. Stay out as late as you want!
If you’re renting for multiple days you don’t need to return it to the shop each night, so you keep the boat wherever you’re staying.
You are not restricted where you can float, and there isn increase in fees or restrictions if you float to Cascade.

Rental Equipment
Rental Fly Rods and Reels If you need rent a rod and reel outfit while you’re here, we’ve got you covered. We have high quality rods and reels from Sage, Orvis, and G Loomis. And if you need to demo a Trout Spey rod to see which one you might be interested in, we’ve got those as well.
Rental Waders and Boots Many people prefer not to travel with heavy waders and boots. There is also the issue of transporting Aquatic Nuisance Species between rivers, and waders are a prime culprit. So rent them if you need them on a daily basis depending on weather and what you fishing plans are.
